Zadání / Assignment: nakreslit pět českých baseballových hvězdných reprezentantů / illustrating five star players of the Czech national baseball team
Popis / Description: Pro World Baseball Classic 2026 jsem vytvořil sérii ilustrací představujících pět výrazných hráčů české baseballové reprezentace. Cílem projektu bylo přiblížit český tým japonským fanouškům a nabídnout jim pohled nejen na samotné sportovce, ale také na prostředí, ze kterého pocházejí.
Každá ilustrace kombinuje portrét hráče s motivy jeho rodného města a vybranými ikonami Tokia, kde se turnaj odehrával. Vznikla tak vizuální série propojující českou a japonskou kulturu prostřednictvím baseballu a osobních příběhů reprezentantů.
Projekt navazuje na dlouhodobou spolupráci s Českou baseballovou asociací a ukazuje české hráče nejen jako sportovní hvězdy, ale také jako osobnosti spojené s konkrétními místy a příběhy.
EN / For the 2026 World Baseball Classic, I created a series of illustrations featuring five standout players of the Czech national baseball team. The goal was to introduce the team to Japanese audiences and provide a glimpse not only into the players themselves but also into the places they come from.
Each illustration combines a portrait of the player with landmarks from their hometown and selected elements of Tokyo, where the tournament took place. The result is a visual series that connects Czech and Japanese culture through baseball and the personal stories of the athletes.
Created as part of my ongoing collaboration with the Czech Baseball Association, the project presents the players not only as athletes but also as individuals shaped by the cities and communities they represent.
